Recently purchased a new prime lens for my Fujifilm X-T30II camera. Don't get me wrong, the versatility of the kit lens 15-45mm is super fun and pragmatic for it's versatility, low profile and overall daily usability. But for the style of photography I wanted to go after, this new prime lens was something I've been looking and researching into for some time.
Behold
Fujifilm XF 35mm F2 R W/R (Made in Japan)
Big thanks to the folks at Fireside Camera on Chestnut in the Marina for hooking it up on a great deal on this "used" lens. I was debating between the regular ($199) vs. the weather proofed version ($399) a $200 difference. This one was essentially brand new with a hood and new UV filter for $320 (box value close to $550). That was a no brainer.
Note: This purchase happened during an expensive week of repairs to G'Challa. Ran into a pothole that required replacing the tire and a repairing a dented wheel. sheesh. I tend to compensate and make myself feel better, through more purchases. Can't wait for that end of year bonus to hit.
Jokes aside, below are some of my early shots testing out this new prime lens.
